Kelo

Security

Your accounts and your clients stay yours.

Kelo needs to see what you are owed, and nothing more. The connection is read-only, every message is approved by you, and you can pull the plug at any moment. Here is exactly what Kelo can and cannot do.

The connection is read-only

Kelo connects to Xero or QuickBooks using read-only access. It can see your invoices and quotes to work out what is overdue. It cannot change, send, void or delete anything in your accounting software. That is enforced by the permissions themselves, not just a promise.

Nothing reaches a client without you

Every chase is a draft. You read it, edit it, and approve it before it goes anywhere, and it sends as you, from you. Kelo never emails, texts or contacts a client on your behalf without your explicit sign-off. Your client relationships stay entirely yours.

You are in control, always

You can disconnect Kelo from inside Xero or QuickBooks at any time, which instantly revokes its access. You can ask us to delete your data and we will. You are never locked in, and you never hand over anything you cannot take straight back.

We do not sell or share your data

Your data is used to run Kelo for you, and for nothing else. We do not sell it, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use third-party trackers to follow you around the web. Email we send on your behalf is transactional, tied to the action you approved.

How the connection works

You connect Kelo through Xero or QuickBooks' own secure authorisation screen, so you are never typing your accounting password into Kelo. You grant read-only access, Kelo receives a token to read your invoice and quote data, and that is the extent of it. Setup takes about three minutes, and you can revoke the token from your accounting software whenever you want.

What Kelo stores

Kelo stores the invoice and customer information needed to work out what is overdue and to prepare the chase you approve. It does not need or take your bank login, and it never asks you to enter card details, passwords or financial credentials into the product. The full detail of what we hold and why is in our privacy policy and data processing terms.

Early-stage, and straight about it

Kelo is an early-stage product, so we are not going to claim certifications we do not yet hold. What we can tell you is exactly true today: the connection is read-only, nothing sends without your approval, and you can disconnect and delete at any time. If you have a security question before you connect anything, email [email protected] and you will get a straight answer from the founder.

Read-only. Approval-first. See your number.
